The CHPA isn't a political lobby. Really, it isn't.

No doubt I'll see many more messages like this as we approach November '04.

THANK GOD FOR GEORGE W. BUSH

Important Bible Command for God's Praying People

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness (1 Tim 2:1-2).

Democrats falsely accuse and abuse President George W. Bush. Even some conservative Christians harshly condemn him. There may be reasons to criticize our President, but there are many, many reasons to thank God for him and all he has done. Scripture urges us both to intercede and offer thanks for our President. We ought to do both, often.

Bush is a great leader. He has vision, intuition, strong core values; he builds trust and alliances, communicates, is disciplined, gets good people and lets them do their job.

He defends U.S. national sovereignty and refused to subject Americans to the International Criminal Court. He abandoned the Soviet ABM Treaty to build a missile defense system to protect America's mainland. He rejected the Kyoto (global warming) Treaty.

He kept his tax cut promises (impacting the economy for years to come). His Mid-East policy has anti-Israel Arab nations on notice. He refuses to deal with Yasser Arafat. Via a restored Mexico City policy, he has defunded organizations that support abortion abroad. He'll defend the Partial Birth Abortion Ban and promises to uphold traditional marriage.

Bush has made excellent judicial appointments. He was courageous to appoint Attorney General John Ashcroft and has made other good cabinet and agency appointments (e.g., Donald Rumsfeld). He rejects all human cloning at home and abroad (Bush appointees heroically led the U.N. cloning battle).

The President has been a remarkable leader in the war against terrorism and is a great Commander in Chief to our men in arms!

He is a bold believer in Jesus Christ whose private life supports his profession (i.e., no more White House SCANDALS)…and much more.

Conservatives dislike certain popular measures Bush has supported. But what if Al Gore, Howard Dean or Hillary Clinton was President? Unless God sends REVIVAL, America will likely never elect a better President than G.W. Bush. From God's view, he may be much better than we deserve. As we gather with our families on Thanksgiving Day, may we be thankful to God for President Bush and every other God-fearing leader with whom He has blessed us.

Please Join Us in Prayers of Thanksgiving:

Heavenly Father, we thank you for President George W. Bush, Laura Bush & their children. Preserve & Protect them. May he hear Your voice, honor Your Word & lead our nation in a righteous path.

Thank you for God fearing leaders at all levels of government. In Jesus Name, Amen (1 Chr 7:8-36; Ps 50:14-17; Jon 2:7Col 3:17; 1 Th 5:16-18; Rev 7:11-12).

ATTENTION! Please set aside February 27 & 28, to attend the CHPA "Desperate Prayer for Desperate Times" 2004 Prayer Convocation here in Washington, DC. Stay "tuned" to find out more about this history-shaping event!

The latest AFA beg letter

Subject: America's families are depending on you

Dear Friend of the Family,

This is the most critical letter you may ever receive from AFA for two reasons.

The future of our nation and our families now rests with you and other Christian activists.

Your AFA is facing a financial emergency. In the last two months we have had to pull $500,000 from our reserves, seriously depleting them. If we go another two months like this, we will be in a serious financial crisis.
Your help is urgently needed today!

I’m not exaggerating about either reason, but let me share with you background information concerning the first.

A few weeks ago I called together a meeting of 50 leaders of large pro-family organizations like your AFA. A sense of extreme urgency was present throughout those meetings. There was intense prayer. We sought God’s guidance and strength. And in the end, we were all of one mind:

The outcome of the fight AGAINST so-called "homosexual marriage" and FOR marriage as divinely ordained by God – the union of one man and one woman – will determine whether the United States survives as a nation blessed by God!
Make no mistake: I firmly believe that if we lose this fight, America's culture war is over!

For the sake of our children and all who come after us, WE MUST WIN THIS BATTLE!

Please continue to support AFA’s uncompromising opposition to the legalization of "homosexual marriage."

For years, your AFA has been one of the few that confronted the "gay rights" agenda.

We did not do so out of hatred or a sense of self-righteousness, but to bring our country back to the Judeo-Christian morality in which it flourished for over 200 years.

At this moment in history, God has called your AFA to be a modern-day prophet, proclaiming God’s truth, though many hate us for it.

Our resistance to same-sex "marriage" will not be easy. Powerful forces in the government and the news and entertainment media have allied themselves into a mighty homosexual propaganda machine.

We stand in a distinct minority against such power and influence.

We have few allies in government. We have few champions in Congress or in our state legislatures. We have but a handful of friends in Hollywood. We have no Dan Rather in the news media to promote our cause. And we have little voice in our public schools.

All we have is EACH OTHER ... and our unwavering TRUST IN GOD!

That's why your active membership in AFA has never been more important.

For my part I promise to continue to give you my all. I will continue to make sure your contributions and membership fees go to fight the fight.

AFA's annual independent audit shows that we spend 92% of our budget waging the war against immorality and indecency, with only 4% being spent on administration and 4% on fundraising. That’s a stewardship record I’m proud of.

Please continue to PRAY for me and for our AFA ministry. Ask God to give us the wisdom and courage, as well as the necessary gifts to see us through this difficult financial time.

Thank you and may God bless you.

Sincerely,

Don
