WAR WITH IRAQ: Part #7
Genuine Peace is Goal of "Just War"
You have shattered the yoke... the rod of their oppressor... You will be
called the... Prince of Peace. Of the increase of Your government and
peace there will be no end (Is 9:2-7, ad.).
Because of original sin, any peace achieved before the return of Jesus
Christ only will be temporary. Yet, God expects governments to
execute justice, defend their citizens and maintain peace (Rom 13:1-4).
When nations shrink from dealing with tyrants, war may be deferred,
but at the cost of true peace (Gen 9:5-6; Jdg 4:5-31; Ps 111:5-7;
Pr 28:4; Is 58:5; 61:1-4).
-True Peace is not the absence of military conflict; it is order with
tranquility, security, justice, and individual freedom. People have
no peace under tyrants and state socialism. God-fearing nations are
not at peace while murderous tyrants are at large. Righteous peace
(Heb 6:16) is built upon truth. Where there is peace men may freely
believe, obey and preach the gospel.
-Christians are commanded to pray for our leaders, both for peace
and the gospel’s sake (1Tim 2:1-2). Prayer for our national leaders
and their acts of justice are a priority (Ps 140:5-9; Is 59:15-20;
Heb 7:25; Rev 8:3-5). Each day of peace is a gift of God (Mt 6:34b).
-The U.N. is shamelessly anti-American, immoral, against true
Christianity, anti-Semitic and is an obstacle to true world peace.
It is a bastion of godless humanism. State sponsors of terrorism
now sit on the U.N. Security Council and hold other powerful
positions. French, Russian and Red Chinese veto power over Security
Council action assures future U.N. paralysis on important matters
of peace. It would be folly for the U.N. to be given a major role
in the rebuilding of Iraq.
-God-fearing nations must deal with future oppressors and despots
with or without permission from the U.N.

-Recent Marxist-led war protests revealed not a love for genuine
peace but an anti-Christ spirit.
Egocentric, God-hating tyrants want our children and grandchildren
to live "in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day,
never sure of [their] life" (Dt 28:66). But the God of the Bible
wants all men to know His peace (Lk 2:14; 1 Tim 2:1-8). Through
our prayers, God-fearing nations will obey God’s mandate to wield
the sword righteously, courageously and effectually, and thus,
do their part to maintain Godly peace.
Please Join Us in Ceaseless Prayer:
--Father, Grant America REPENTANCE! (Joel 2:15-20)
--GIVE our Civil & Military leaders Your Wisdom, Guidance &
Blessing (2 Sam 22:28-51; Ps 7:6-9; 35:19-28; 55:22-23).
--Oh Prince of Peace, May our Troops be Instruments in Your Hand.
PROTECT them. Cause our enemies to surrender quickly with a minimum
loss of life.
--OPEN the Muslim World to Your Great Gospel. The Preaching of Your
Word will cause TRUE PEACE to advance throughout the World. In Jesus’
Name, Amen (Gen 45:7; Ps 79:6-10; 107:33-42; 121: all; Is 54:16-17;
Hab 3:2; Mt 24:14; 28:18-20; Mk 13:10; 1 Tim 2:1-2).
